IS A TANKLESS WATER HEATER BETTER THAN A CONVENTIONAL STORAGE TANK

The answer is yes and no. Tankless water heaters are great, they have very low operating costs, because they use very little energy, can be installed in tight spaces, provide an endless supply of hot water if designed properly. The pros of a conventional storage tank are that they have a low upfront installation cost, require very little or no maintenance, require no electricity to operate on most models. Repairs are less expensive than a tankless when needed. Contact us at , and let us help choose the perfect option for your home or business.

DO I HAVE TO BREAK MY TILES TO REPAIR MY LEAKY SHOWER FAUCET

This all depends on the condition, age, and plumber you decide to use for this repair. An unexperienced plumber will most likely recommend breaking the tiles and replace the entire unit inside the wall. Aurora Plumbing Pros takes a different approach. The proper procedure would be to first identify the make and model of the shower unit and properly diagnose the issue and parts needed. 90% of the time we can locate the correct parts. Experience is vital for this repair as it is needed to identify the unit.

MY DRAIN IS CLOGGED, SHOULD I CALL ONE OF THE DRAIN COMPANIES I SEE ADVERTISED AT SUPER LOW PRICES?

The answer is a big no. Yes, they advertise low prices, these prices are just to get them in the door. These companies are never licensed, which means they have no background check as a Licensed Master Plumber is required to operate a Licensed plumbing business in Ontario. If something goes wrong and damage is done to your home, you are left on the hook. They might be able to snake a drain, but keep in mind it is the Licensed Master Plumber that understands the drains and underground sewer lines, after all, only a Licensed Plumber is legally allowed to install and design them.

I NEED A NEW TOILET, WHAT KIND SHOULD I GET?

With today’s technology in 2020, the options for a new toilet are endless. For a toilet replacement, we offer free estimates. The average price for a Toilet replacement ranges from $500 – $900 depending on the brand and model the client picks out.

I HAVE A PLUMBING VIOLATION

We here at Aurora plumbing pros are prepared to remove any type of plumbing or boiler violation listed on your home or business.

I CONSTANTLY RUN OUT OF HOT WATER.

It is common for older water heaters to become so full of collected sediment that it reduces the amount of water that can be heated in the tank. If your water heater is more then eight years old it would be best to consider replacing the unit.

I HAVE TO WAIT FOREVER FOR HOT WATER.

There are several different options for a New York homeowner that is tired of watching cold water run down the drain while waiting for hot water to arrive each morning. Our most popular system can be installed in about an hour that will allow the recirculation of hot water between the hot water tank and the far end of the home.

MY WATER BILL IS TOO HIGH.

If the numbers of gallons of water that you use each month has increased without reason it could be something as simple as a leaking plumbing fixture or sprinkler head. It could also be traced to an underground water pipe that has begun to leak. Because these under "slab leaks" can eventually lead to damage to the foundation of your home or apartment any suspicion of a slab leak should be investigated.

I OWN RENTAL PROPERTIES, CAN YOU FIX PLUMBING FOR MY TENANTS?

Definitely, and if you are to busy to meet at the property. We are glad to call you with a diagnosis and several different options for repair.

Any company personnel who shows COVID-19 signs or symptoms will be mandated to leave the site or work office to get checked by a licensed Physician immediately. He/she will be required to get tested for COVID-19. If the employee is tested positive for the virus, he/she must remain at home for the minimum period of 21 days from the day tested. Prior to returning to work from quarantine, that employee must meet the following criteria:

The individual has had no fever for at least 72 hours (without the use of medicine that reduces fever)

The individual must be free from any of the following recognized COVID-19 symptoms for at least 72 hours (e.g., dry cough, shortness of breath, nausea, loss of smell/taste)

Protect yourself and others from the spread of COVID-19 disease

Attached you can find some recommendation from the World Health Organization of ways to protect yourself and others from the spread of the COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.

Basic protective measures against the new coronavirus

Stay aware of the latest information on the COVID-19 outbreak, available on the WHO website and through your national and local public health authority. Most people who become infected experience mild illness and recover, but it can be more severe for others.

Take care of your health and protect others by doing the following:

Stay at home if you are not feeling well or have a fever.

Why? By staying home, you can prevent the spread of the virus. Stay home and seek medical attention

and advise from a licensed Physician.

Wash your hands frequently

Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.

Why? Washing your hands with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand rub kills viruses that may be on your hands.

Maintain social distancing

Maintain at least (6 feet) distance between yourself and anyone, especially if that person is coughing or sneezing

Why? When someone coughs or sneezes, they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may contain virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus if the person coughing has the disease.

Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth

Why? Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the

virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick.

Practice respiratory hygiene

Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately. Wear face mask preferably N-95 if available to you. Use disposable latex glove to handle any item. Change them as often as possible.

Why? Droplets spread virus. By following good respiratory hygiene, you protect the people around you from viruses such as cold, flu and COVID-19.

If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early

Travel Advisories

The CDC and Canadian government have, However, issued travel advisories to help mitigate the risk of the virus further spreading within the United States. Specifically:

  • CDC recommends that travelers avoid all nonessential travel to all global destinations

All employees are expected to follow these and future advisories that may be issued when traveling or planning any as this situation continues to evolve.

The above actions are intended to help keep our employees and their families safe and to ensure that Aurora Plumbing Professionals can operate. This situation is ongoing and we are continuing to monitor the CDC and WHO guidance and will make adjustments as may be necessary based on that advice. Please know that we are taking this situation seriously and will continue to keep our employees advised as circumstances develop.
